That Day Is Coming, Every Day Is Coming is a short play intended for audio-only formats. Two older gentlemen, longtime gamblers and friends, meet for their regular $100/$200 cribbage match. Over this routine card game, the men, never referred to by name until the play's conclusion, initially discuss benign concerns within their gambling circles but soon begin considering larger issues. The talk turns to notions of time, existence, and purpose until the older of the pair confesses that he has terminal cancer. This admission refocuses the lens of their conversation and uneasily points it squarely upon them. That Day Is Coming, Every Day Is Coming contemplates some weightier philosophical issues through the filter of everyday vernacular. Dennis Gersten directs actors Allan Wasserman, James Calvert and Stephen Gillikin.

Cameron Scott sold his first short story while an undergrad at New York University. He has since created brand campaigns for over 100 Broadway plays and musicals and has recently turned to writing plays of his own. His one-act drama Uphill was an official selection in Legacy Theatre’s Play Reading Festival this past September. It was subsequently produced by Wilmington Drama League where it won Best in Festival and later represented the winning play from Delaware at ESTAFest 2023 (Eastern States Theater Association).  Scene Ten from Uphill will be published later this year in The Best Men’s Stage Monologues 2023 (Smith & Kraus).
