A stunning victory for the Liberal Democrats in North Shropshire, a constituency that has been Conservative since 1832. The Owen Paterson scandal triggered the vote, Downing Street parties have diminished the Prime Minister's authority and now he's facing serious pressure from his own backbenchers.
We talk about what this by-election result means for Boris Johnson, what is means for the Lib Dems under leader Ed Davey and there's time to say a Merry Christmas to our listeners and a Happy New Year! We have big ambitions for 2022, so we hope you enjoy what we both produce for this podcast in the future.
