Arron Renfrew owns a charming two-story house in Ballard that he wants to rent out but it also comes with an ongoing issue involving Charles Woodward, known to residents in the Seattle neighborhood as Lawnmower Man.

Woodward, who is homeless, has lined up over two dozen lawnmowers on the street, three cars and has other equipment on the intersection at 8th Avenue NW and 49th Street that has upset some area residents because of the noise and the mess.

“He’s got several cars (and) all these structures that he’s got built up," Renfrew said. "He’s got 12 to 14 lawnmowers stacked up out there. It does not belong to me."

But earlier this year, officials from the Seattle Department of Transportation thought the items did.
