Anxiety is characterized by feelings of uneasiness and worry, while mental illness is a condition that affects a person’s thinking, feeling, or mood. Coping mechanisms such as exercise, talking it out with a trusted adult, and mindfulness can help keep stress in check and ease anxiety. It’s important to find what works best for you and your child.
