I met David when his first book, Calvin’s Head, was nominated for a Lambda Literary Award in 2015, and we’ve stayed in touch since then. Corpus Calvin takes the lead characters, Dekker and his beloved dog Calvin, to a new location and a very different story. I spoke with David about his life in Amsterdam, his inspiration for writing the Calvin books, and what may come next for them and him.
