Joe Gilmore is a Dorchester resident-focused on changing the stigma about marijuana consumption. As President of Students for Sensible Drug Policy at UMass Boston, Joey mobilized students on campus and around Boston to campaign for the Yes On 4 Initiative to legalize marijuana in Massachusetts. He is employed as a Patient Care Advocate at Garden Remedies, a medical marijuana dispensary in Newton, MA. As Co-Founder of the Massachusetts Recreational Consumer Council, Joey spends his time working with MRCC to create an informed, well-regulated, and equitable cannabis industry focused on consumer safety, community involvement, and reparation for those disproportionately affected by marijuana prohibition.
