For too many firms and corporate legal departments, diversifying ranks is viewed with altruism or as a project. Bryan Parker discusses the highlights from his Clio session, “Equity in Practice: Driving Structural Legal Innovation with Data and Diversity,” with Laurence Colletti. He tells Colletti that business professionals need to shift that thinking and make diversity and inclusion a business imperative. Doing so will increase profits and increase job creation, all while doing the right thing. Parker says businesses need to be courageous about identifying gaps, commit to improving, and “relentlessly measure” to close those gaps.
