Jackie Otero is a music business educator and consultant in Orlando, Florida.  She began her career promoting artists in San Francisco in 2001, and has since worked with artists including Ian Axel of A Great Big World, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Aimee Mann, Marc Cohn, Stroke 9, and Speech of Arrested Development. In 2006, she co-founded artist management and music licensing company Front Burner Music in Brooklyn, NY.  She has authored a music licensing-focused - Industry Insider - column for alternative music publication TheComet.com, and produced artist showcases at festivals such as CMJ Music Marathon (New York) and Mission Creek Music Festival (San Francisco).  She currently serves as the Program Director of the Entertainment Business and Music Business Bachelor’s degree programs at Full Sail University.

Jackie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and a Master of Arts degree in Music Business from New York University, where she was awarded the Samuel Eshborn Service Award for outstanding leadership, as well as the NYU Dept. of Music and Performing Arts Professions Award for Scholarship and Leadership.  She has also completed music business coursework abroad in London, UK and Sydney, Australia.
