Tine Turner's life was one that was filled with the highest highs with her successful career with her business partner and husband Ike Turner, but behind the scenes Tina was suffering from violent abuse at home. With just 36 cents in her pocket, she would leave her husband and take her children with her in the divorce. Trying to reinvent herself in a solo career as a black woman in the industry at age 37 was a low point in her career. Tune in today to hear how Tina started in the music industry, how she made waves as a woman in the white dominated pop charts, her marriage and divorce, and the story of how she overcame adversity.
