Elvis Presley has made history in a lot of aspects, but he broke records with Aloha From Hawaii. This was the very first time a performer was to broadcast a live concert to the entire world via satellite. Nothing like this had ever been done before for a musician, and Elvis was the guinea pig to try this out. One in every third person globally in 1973 had watched Aloha From Hawaii, which was recorded live from Honolulu to an adoring crowd. This was monumental. Dive deep with me today as I discuss why this was done, how it broke records, and more.
