Extra virgin olive oil can be a really healthy addition to your diet. But, there’s a dark side to it…

Any time humans can make more money while exploiting customers, they always seem to find a way!

Good quality extra virgin olive oil costs more to make than the cheap, nasty oils like vegetable or canola oil. So there’s a lot of money to be made by selling extra virgin olive oil at a regular price but mixing half the bottle with inferior oil to save costs, unbeknown to the consumer!

I recommend only buying olive oil brands that have been tested by this group - aboutoliveoil.org

One other thing to note - use your olive oil cold as it’s not the best oil to heat and cook with. For cooking, use grass fed butter or ghee, tallow, lard, or coconut oil.
