When we have made Christ our shepherd, his goodness and mercy are always upon us. In times when we don’t sense it, it is still there. The Bible helps to provide that right-thinking of God’s goodness when we stray. It reminds us that he is a God who cares, who is capable, and who is for us. He is our hope and our portion. As Christians we need not fear because we are his–and he is the Good Shepherd.
