Following the Transfiguration on the mount, Jesus is approached by a father who asks Jesus to drive an evil spirit out of his son because the disciples could not. In this moment, we are both able to see the destructive nature of evil as well as the compassion and authoritative power of Jesus. We will also explore the deceptive nature of evil present in our lives and learn from the disciples who failed to heal the boy before Jesus arrived.
