Have you ever wondered what the dark recesses of Brendan Fraser's brain look like? Apparently, it's a nightmarish world of strange creatures, mythological gods, and horny monkeys! Monkeybone, released Feb 23rd in 2001, is a very loose comic-book adaptation directed by Henry Selick (Coraline, Nightmare Before Christmas). To say it suffers from an identity crisis is understating it. This movie really doesn't know what it wants to be, and while that makes for a very frustrating watch, it also makes for a very fun and long podcast episode!
