Old School Lane Casual Chats: Leo

In this episode of Casual Chats, Patricia and special guest Arun Mehta from The Arun Mehta Show discuss about the 2023 Netflix/Happy Madison Productions animated film Leo starring Adam Sandler, Bill Burr, Cecily Strong, and Jason Alexander. Leo is a 74-year-old tuatara living as a class pet with a turtle named Squirtle. After learning that tuataras live up to 75 years, Leo decides that he's going to break out and make his way to the Everglades, but things change when the main teacher leaves due to maternity leave and a strict substitute takes her place. One assignment they get is to bring a pet home and they take Leo. Leo talks to them individually and gives them advice on how to better themselves.

When the film premiered on Netflix, it received positive reviews from critics calling it a sweet, funny, charming, and endearing film that replaces Eight Crazy Nights and the Hotel Transylvania films as Adam Sandler's best animated film he's ever been in.
