DreamMachine Episode 18: Kung Fu Panda

In this episode of DreamMachine, Patricia and Arun discuss about the 2008 DreamWorks film, Kung Fu Panda. The movie is about a panda named Po who wishes to be a great kung fu warrior, but in reality is told to work at his father's noodle restaurant. When he tries to sneak into a ceremony where he is accidentally called The Dragon Warrior. The master of The Furious Five, Shifu, tries to train Po so hard that he will quit. But Po is determined to convince everyone that he will become The Dragon Warrior. Meanwhile, Master Shifu's former student, Tai Lung, is out to steal the sacred scroll so that he could learn the techniques of being The Dragon Warrior. Will Po learn kung fu in time to fight against Tai Lung?  

When the movie premiered in theaters, it had earned $631 million dollars in the box office with critical praise from critics and viewers. It would the third film to spin into sequels and an animated series. How well does it hold up over a decade later?  Listen and find out.
