ABOUT Monica Urick

Monica Urick is the owner of the cute children’s second hand shop Monkei Miles, mama of Noel and wife of Keith. Being a mother is my favorite gig I’ve ever had. 

Monica was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with her babe until he started elementary school where she was able to do part time data entry at a children’s consignment shop in San Francisco. She had always loved thrifting as a teen and young adult, and once her baby was born she had a new found passion to finding him the most fun clothing, but was on a budget, so she revisited her passion for thrifting. She then started to read about fast fashion and how it’s destroying our climate, piled up endlessly in landfills, and unbeknownst to her the seed was planted. 

Flash forward to her kid starting middle school and she knew she needed a hobby for all of their sanity, and Monkei Miles began with a not so subtle nudge from her husband! The shop is almost 6 years old, and almost three years in the new space.
