The NHL season kicks off tonight, and the Oilers launch tomorrow, which meant we had a lot to talk about on the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio.

Kicking off the Tuesday episode, we got started with a conversation about the hilarious overreaction that happened on the weekend when the Oilers chose to waive Raphael Lavoie due to salary cap constraints. Before finding out that Lavoie was waived (and cleared) due to the cap, Oilers Twitter was raging mad about asset mismanagement, and it was fascinating to watch even though nothing had even happened yet. From there, we offered up our season predictions ahead of the 2023-24 NHL season as the Edmonton Oilers get set to kick off their campaign tomorrow night against the Vancouver Canucks. Changing gears, we looked ahead at the season opener against the Canucks and how the Oilers still have a few question marks ahead of tomorrow's game. Will Ekholm play? Will Kulak play? Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of the podcast with a new segment from Baggedmilk, another round of Word Association and a quick rant from Tyler about the schedule for the start of the season.
