Who is Zaid? 🤩


He is a passionate board-level executive & commercial managing director, who specialises in customer-centric change management & brand-building. He enjoys challenging, complex, fast-paced environments. He loves the combination of operational, commercial, strategic & customer-led roles, & the challenge of developing a winning team. He has led 4 major post-acquisition integrations.



He is Chief Marketing Officer of Channel 4, the publicly-owned and commercially-funded UK public service broadcaster, with a statutory remit to deliver high-quality, innovative, alternative content that challenges the status quo.



Previously, Zaid was Chief Brand & Marketing Officer of BT Group which owns and operates the BT, EE, Plusnet & Openreach businesses.



Zaid also has experience of large & small companies, having been a Procter & Gamble Managing Director, and CMO of an internet start-up, HouseTrip (now part of TripAdvisor). He have a passion for innovative approaches that challenge the status quo & improve business results & organisation capability. He is an advocate of insight-led, customer-centric approaches that build deep partnerships with customers, suppliers & end consumers.



He spent 20 years in marketing & commercial general management at P&G, working on UK, European & Global businesses. He was commercial P&L leader of the UK P&Gbeauty business with sales >£1Billion.
