044 - What if...The Princess Diaries was a Musical? (ft. Marissa)

So I love musicals and I LOVE The Princess Diaries, so I had this thought one day - what if that movie was turned into a musical? Now, this idea truly flourished while talking with Marissa when I was beginning to plan her episode. Luckily, she was on board with the potential of a Princess Diaries musical. And so this episode was born! 

Before getting into it all, I had to take a moment to dig into Marissa's love for musicals and also, what makes a musical good. Further, what makes an excellent musical adaption of a movie? Because this is tough, it's not an easy feat! There have been some that haven't been so strong, so the foundation of what makes one work is important! Then we do it. We turn The Princess Diaries into a musical! We lay out the foundation of what it could look like if this were ever to become a reality! So basically...hey Disney...hey *anyone who has power over developing such a project* we are here and we are ready to chat ;)
