The couple share with us about creative work two of them put together in order to pivot their traditional vintage shop into an auction for neighborhood artists,, craftsmen and vintage collectors. The change turned to be a win win for everyone ! Job well done ! The ingenuity prevailed : artists and craftsmen sold during hard pandemic times , buyers bought what they were looking for without leaving the house and the East Village Collective became a flagmanship neighborhood shop without opening its doors. Maegan and Alex shared that they were grateful for the community outreach and support . They were very surprised that they were able to discover and connect with craftsmen and artists they have never worked with before. If you thought for a second that those two just take care of the vintage shop only, you are dead wrong! This power couple is taking a very active part in a local community service: East Village Independent Merchants Association. EVIMA is a coalition of merchants who work in the East Village, one of the most unique neighborhoods in New York City with a rich history and diverse culture.
