In this episode, Allison talks to MPG PhDs, Jonatan Malis, Shengnan Zhao, and Vasanth Murugesan, who share some of their experiences of doing science in Germany, and talk about the role that names might play in shaping those experiences on a day-to-day basis.

They discuss mispronunciations and unconscious biases, how these experiences differ from one person to another, and from one situation to the next, and how such small things might help in creating an inclusive work environment, in which people know that their values are recognised and respected.
