First off, this is recorded on Tuesday, Feb. 18, so it is prior to Islanders’ game.
We recap the loss in OT against the Tampa Bay Lightning. What a crazy game it was. It was a super intense, and playoff-like atmosphere. There wasn’t much missing from this game when it comes to the events that transpired. Two goalie-interference calls against the Avs get us talking about the ruling.
McElhinney would get an Oscar from us on the second one.
A terrible second period for the Avs was followed by one of the more crazy andexciting third periods this season, and that led to overtime.
Unfortunately,MacKinnon had a bad giveaway that led to a Kucherov breakaway and goal to win the game for the Lightning’s 11th-straight win.
The Avs must stop the bleeding.
