On this episode we recap the struggles against the Blues and the 5-2 loss on

Monday. There were countless defensive breakdowns by the Avalanche in their own end, and a lack of interest by Zadorov on two separate occasions proved detrimental. Grubauer was not the problem.

This our #AcrosstheRink segment featured Grant from the Hungry for Hawks Talk podcast, The Hockey Podcast Network’s Chicago Blackhawks affiliate. We were treated to an in-studio visit as Grant was in Calgary for the holidays. We watched the battle between the Hawks and Avs on Wednesday evening, and chat about the aftermath. It was a pretty good game for the Avs as they topple Chicago 4-1, and further the season series to 3-0 for the good guys. We also preview the rematch with the Hawks on Saturday.

We part ways with Grant with our closing thoughts on the Hall trade to Arizona. The episode

wraps up with a look ahead to Carolina on Thursday for a back-to-back with travel.
