Struggling to pick up political traction, former Mayor Bill de Blasio abruptly ended his congressional bid. In a video released on Twitter, an emotional de Blasio also indicated he’d be leaving electoral politics completely. NY1’s Zack Fink, Bob Hardt and Kelly Mena analyze the decision to end his candidacy, as well as what this may mean for his legacy.

They also weigh in on some of the criticism the GOP has been throwing at Gov. Kathy Hochul as the gubernatorial race heats up. Is she misusing state-owned planes and helicopters, or is this just a tradition in Albany? And is she stalling an investigation into nursing home deaths during the pandemic?

We want to hear from you, especially what you think about de Blasio’s departure from politics.
