This week we welcomed Fairway Jay Ginsbach to the program, we read some NSFW tweets, read some viewer mail, relived the #seattlescrewjob, took a peek at through the nanny cam and we went back to the farm for another episode of Beat the Cock.

The scab referees have been a point of contention this season. When the season started, I didn’t think they would cause problems for bettors but as we found out Monday night, they were part of the biggest gambling money swing in the history of the NFL. The interception-reception, the fail Mary as some people have called it was the tipping point for NFL players, fans and as it turns out the owners, as I write this, the NFL and the NFLRA have struck a deal to put the real referees back on the field starting Thursday Night.

Thankfully that’s over. It was an embarrassment for this multibillion-dollar company to risk the integrity of the league for a few million bucks. Fans, players and of course bettors couldn’t take much more of this.

Fairway Jay writes a column for Quadjacks.com, on the show he goes into his history of being a professional bettor and poker player. He talks about his best betting memories and a few of his biggest disappointments. He gives us some early leans for week 4 in the NFL and which teams he likes going into the Major League Baseball playoffs.

The nanny cam this week features the nanny checking her emails…still no housework but I think I’ll give her a pass for now.

I’m embarrassed to say that I’m losing the Monday Night Football Beat the Cock challenge to Rocco the Cock. It’s you’re looking for peculiar and odd trends, here’s one for you – Rocco is a perfect 3-0 straight up and against the spread when picking a team with a bird logo. He’s gotten winners with the Ravens, Falcons and this past Monday with the Seahawks. His only loser this season has been his pick on the Oakland Raiders opening week.
