We kicked off the show with some YouTube videos to get us warmed up; you can watch all three clips at the bottom of the page. They all involve football, one great play, one ugly play and one clip that I’ll just leave you to watch on your own. #nowords

Unlike last week, we had some viewer mail.  Wallstreet Will Strickland from TSN Radio’s 1on1 basketball show and the All Balls Don’t Bounce podcast passed along some kind words. @kevmath, Kevin Mathers from Bluff Magazine said what we were all thinking and the Boss, Calvin Ayre passed along a note. He pointed out there was a missing element to the show and I assured him it will be addressed in the next episode. I won’t tell you what it is but I’ll give you a hint…hot and sexy.

Then we talked to Tom Barton of Tom Barton Sports. Tom gave us his biggest surprise in week one of the NFL season and a few leans for week two. He talked about the stretch run of the Major League Baseball season and which team he thinks will be standing at the end and who he thinks is the team nobody wants to meet in the playoffs.

I introduced a new segment to the podcast, One Night In…. In the segment, either our guest or even I will give us a story of Drinkin’, Gamblin’ or Carryin’ on.  Tom is an entertaining person so he stuck around and told us the story of One Night in Raleigh.

We went back to the farm where Rock the Cock was ready to make his Monday Night Football pick for the week.  If you are playing Beat the Cock at home, Rock the Cock won his Baltimore Ravens bet but lost his second bet on the Oakland Raiders.  His record is 1-1 against the spread. This week Rock is taking the Atlanta Falcons at -3 point favourites against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
