This week Tom and me discuss the Baseball winter meetings and how well my Toronto Blue Jays will fare when the season begins. We talked about Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa and Mike Piazza’s chance at earning entry into Cooperstown.

In the NBA, we took some time to talk about the Lakers, the Spurs, Pops and Stern before turning our attention to the NFL. As much as neither of us wanted to talk about the tragedy that occurred in Kansas City, we felt we’d be remiss if we ignored it like so many networks did over the weekend, don’t worry Tom didn’t take over the show with a highly politicized rant al a Bob Costas but we talked about it.

Tom gave us some insights into the huge matchup this Monday Night where the AFC leading Houston Texans visit Foxborough to play the New England Patriots. He didn’t give us a play but he gave us enough hints to let us know he likes the over in this game. Last week on Beat the Cock, the Cock got one in the win column as his Washington Redskins upset the New York Giants. The Cock’s record this season is 11-3 straight up picking Monday Night Football games and a still very decent 8-5-1 ATS.
