Kirby Garlitos, like most Filipinos is a passionate basketball fan and we set him up with press passes for the FIBA Asia Championship tournament going on in Manila this week. Kirby has been reporting on the games and we invited him to the studio to talk about the FIBA Asia Championships, international basketball with some special attention paid to the teams in China and Iran.

We also talked about Jarvis Hayes, former NBA first rounder who is currently playing for the Qatar national team. If you’re not sure how an American basketball player can play for a Middle Eastern national team, Kirby explains why.
