George Elek is joined by Andy Holding and Johnny Ward to preview day one of the Punchestown Festival. The action gets underway on Tuesday with three grade ones on the opening day including the feature race - the William Hill Champion Chase. Energumene heads the betting with Chacun Pour Soi, Envoi Allen, Andy Dufresne and Captain Guinness completing the line up.

The festival kicks off with the Mares' Novices Hurdle, the panel like the look of Dinoblue's chances to win this one and bounce back from recent disappointments. Next on the card is the Champion Novice Hurdle, the first Grade 1 of the week. Unsurprisingly Sir Gerhard heads the market for this one following success in the Ballymore at Cheltenham.

The third Grade 1 on the opening day comes at 6.35 with the Champion Novice Chase. Bob Olinger is a best price price of 5/4 to win after his fortunate success at Cheltenham when capitalising on the fall of Galopin Des Champs. Capodanno and Fury Road look to provide the strongest competition.

All five days of the festival will be previewed on the Betting Show this week!
