Ocean FM is a multi award winning local radio station that broadcasts to the Northwest of Ireland. The station covers the area of South County Donegal, North County Leitrim and County Sligo.

The current CEO of the station is Niall Delaney and the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) lists their target audience as 'being all age, socio-economic and ethnic groups across the community'. The station currently employs 22 full-time and 30 part-time staff.

Part-time ATU students eligible for grants

Part-time students at ATU Sligo will be eligible for a grant for fees from September 2024. While details of the new scheme are still being worked out, it will cover awards at Levels 6,7, or 8 and will be open to applicants with incomes below 56 thousand euro. Sligo County Council have been fined €2,600 after damaging a river tributary linked to a Special Area of Conservation. Green light finally given for developments at Spencer Harbour

A planned development for Spencer Harbour has officially moved to the next stage. Efforts by a local community group to secure funding had previously been quashed. The creation of a slipway would allow for local residents and tourists to launch small boats at the harbour.
