The president of the European Commission has been lambasted by a Midlands North West MEP.

Sinn Féin MEP Chris MacManus has hit out at Ursula von der Leyen for her approach to the military and feels, the next president should be more committed to a social Europe.

MEP MacManus has also called on the Taoiseach to reiterate Ireland's neutrality.
