Our guest this time around is Tessa Dick. Tessa is the ex-wife, and the fifth and final wife, of one of my favorite writers - the late sci-fi scribe Philip K. Dick. Phil is the author of many classic works of science fiction and alternate history, including the novels The Man in the High Castle, A Scanner Darkly, Ubik and Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said. Phil was also the author of a plethora of notable short stories, including The Minority Report and We Can Remember It For You Wholesale, which was the basis for the film Total Recall.

Tessa is an author in her own right, having published several books of both fiction and nonfiction, including the recently published Conversations With Philip K. Dick, which is the basis for this conversation. It’s a cool little chat about the life, experiences and ideas of both Tessa and Phil, so let’s do this damn thing already, and cast this pod off into a sci-fi world that doesn’t seem so fi anymore, where the adjustment bureau is busy rewriting our history and where androids definitely do dream of electric sheep.
