Welcome to Episode 130 of the NYCFC Nation Podcast: It was an action packed week (last week) as New York City FC faced its cross town rival the New York Red Bulls for a US Open Cup match. New York City FC lost that match 0-1 and was once again kicked out in their first match of the US Open Cup. Later that week New York City FC faced Seattle Sounders FC on probably the wettest game of the year come out with three points winning by a score of 2-1. Chris P., Chris M and I discuss these two matches and the upcoming match on Sunday in New Jersey against the Red Bulls for our first regular season match against them. Above all we discuss how we build Ikea furniture, or at least how not to build Ikea furniture. We wrap up the show talking about the three New York City FC players who will be joining their respective countries during the Gold Cup, announce that James Sands is NYC's first homegrown player signing, debate on his intro song into Yankee stadium, provide an "update" on the NYCFC stadium in relation to David Villa and Melinda Katz, make a prediction at who could possibly replace Ronald Matarrita if/when he decides to leave the team, and finally answer your twitter questions. Thank you Nation fans! Listen in to see what we think and follow up with us on twitter @NYCFCpodcast. NYCFCNation130 Show link:
