Ongs Hat: Fact, Fiction or a Little Of Both?

Deep in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey is a ghost town known as Ongs Hat. It's a real place with a strange history of it's own. But, the story gets stranger and stranger. Did a group of time traveling rogue scientists actually jump to another dimension from Ongs Hat? What does the nearby Fort Dix military base have to do with it? Is it all fiction?
