Aside from being an incredibly handsome man, Tarek Pertew is CEO and co-founder of NYC Footy, the co-ed league initially formed 'for fun' back in 2010.

Fourteen years on, Footy has not only consolidated itself in the city, but has grown into the largest amateur league in the United States whilst only existing inside the boundaries of the Big Apple. For now, at least!

Tarek discusses the off-pitch battles that come with running the league, the cost to not only his own experience of the competition, but his health, how he finds balance (sometimes, anyway) and the motivating factors that keep him going. Spoiler alert: it’s love not money. SWOON!

It’s impossible to say how many lives Footy has impacted in a positive way, but I can say with certainty this conversation offered me a ton of value and encouragement to draw from on my own journey.

There might be something in there for you too.

Over to Tarek
