Cardi B is set to return with her first single of 2022 titled “Hot SH*T” releasing on Friday (July 1). The track is a star-studded affair as the Bronx native will tango with Kanye West and Lil Durk over Tay Keith production.

However, unlike most of her singles, This one won’t come with a music video and Cardi took to Instagram Live on Monday evening (June 27) to detail how the record differs from a lot of her previous raunchy music and isn’t something made to thrive on TikTok.

“It’s something that I feel like y’all haven’t heard from me before,” she said, “I feel like people is expecting a lot of slutness and blah blah blah. Y’all keep talking I keep making TikTok records and this is definitely not that. It’s a fun great record. It’s masculine [and] it’s great for the clubs. It’s great for the b******.”

She also voiced her frustrations with the song’s rollout to the point she almost canceled the release.

“I will not be releasing a music video with this song,” Cardi added. “I just don’t feel like doing too much this time around. I’m just exhausted with everybody [and] I’m so tired of people not doing their job correctly.”
