There is great power in leading with influence. To be a stand out, highly respected leader today you must be both compassionate AND strong, NOT compassionate OR strong. 

Intentional communication creates influence. Fergus tells us, “the most interesting people are the ones who are the most interested.”

Listening is the very first communication skill. This has you fully planted in the moment, so you are able to understand what is really needed and where you can be of greatest value.

Practice self awareness. Understanding your presence and how your demeanor influences is a key part of  what allows you to have greater success and lasting impact. 

Find ways to assist your team to excel. This creates an environment of higher performance, and greater success that is sustainable.
