Previous Episode: Cabincore w/ Jalapeño Jared
Next Episode: A Vintage Halloween

Well, we made it, folks. It’s our first filmmaker guest ever! In this episode, we’ll go all the way back to Fran Zapata’s childhood memories of parental gorilla mask pranks, and get into two movies that she loves: Don’t Breathe (2016) and Veronica (2017).

Pull up a pile of frozen peas and text us when you get to The Scene. We’ll discuss representations of blind characters in both our movies, the dividing line between thriller and horror, the impulse to write Fucked Up stuff, and whether your pets look at you like a giant chicken leg (which, ours do not, by the way. They love us and would never eat us). Also we demanded Fran make our podcast into a movie, so keep an eye out for our mind-bendy pod people (get it?) flick, coming whenever we can lure in a corporate sponsor. We’re selling out, baby!

We’ve got some good energy in this one. Great vibes all around, honestly. If only Veronica had done a seance with us instead of her terrible friends.
