SIU is finally represented on this podcast! We got SIU & Carbondale legend Johnny Fayne on the show today for one of the most fun episodes we’ve had. He was one of the first names that former guest, Stephen Bardo, brought up when talking about the best to come out of the area, and Zach’s dad had the chance to play against Fayne so this one was a special treat.
Fayne was a decorated high school player at Carbondale Community High School and a key member of those early 80’s SIU teams. The strong frame along with his amazing handle and guard skills made him a TOUGH cover for all of those that he went up against.
