This week, legendary BMX racer Anneke Beerten joined the show to share her incredible journey to the pinnacle of bike racing. Before her segment, Colin and Jack discussed the NHL and NBA playoffs, youth sports, the bar of the week, and more!

Anneke Beerten is a Dutch-born Mountain bike racer and BMX racer. Specializing in Four-cross she was world champion in this discipline in 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2016. In 2019, Anneke received the “Spirit Award” from the Crankworx MTB World Tour. This award is handed to an athlete who’ve truly epitomized the love for all things mountain bike related. Engagement in the community, relationship-building, sport-building, inspire the next generation and share the stoke. Anneke suffered a car crash in August 2020 which left her with traumatic brain injury and severe whiplash. She has been in therapy ever since and was advised to medically retire from racing. Anneke is back riding and pursuing a coaching career in MTB post her racing career.
