Not Again Podcast: Into the Vault: #YourJobSucks- Documentary Filmmaker

I have gone into the vault and managed to dig out this episode that I had with Clare Nolan.

Clare Nolan had been my lecturer for a documentary scriptwriting class. We talked a lot about talking and having a structure and formulating questions that lead to a narrative. We had different opinions when it comes to having an interview on both side of the spectrum the freeform conversation and the planning of questionnaire. Clare break down the economics and what will happen if the premise of a documentary is the same with 2 different directors which is rare. I try to look for a clear definition of what a documentary is and how reality tv has using the different techniques that had been largely prominent in documentary. Finally ending off by giving advice on how to captivate an audience with this medium of storytelling and start off in the genre of documentary film making
