Matt Szczur

Episode 62: Show Notes.

Joining us today is professional baseball-player-turned-NFT-artist Matt Szczur. Matt played in the 2016 World Series Championship as a member of the Chicago Cubs. He began his art career through a collaboration with Micah Johnson and by raising money with his own art for multiple non-profit organizations, including his own. Being a professional athlete, his work draws inspiration from sports stars and iconic moments in sports history. He uses stencils and spray paint as his chosen medium. Today he joins us to share his story about how his first dip into the NFT space sold out before he fully understood what NFTs were. Tuning in, you’ll hear about the contents of his hardware wallet, his investment strategy for Bitcoin and Ethereum, and how he transitioned from baseball player to NFT artist. He also shares his advice for artists joining the NFT space in the current market, how the value of discipline transfers from sports to NFTs, and what you can look forward to from him in the future. Tune in for all this and more!
