Podcast Listeners, on the 3rd episode of #NomadicHustle - I sit with Dr. Ahmed Ali (pharmacy) to discuss his journey in opening the first black owned pharmacy in Seattle, and the work his organization is doing with regards to eliminating and reducing health disparities.  

Ahmed Ali is an innovator, an entrepreneur, systems thinker and change-maker with passion and experience in the areas of health equity, social impact, and community resilience.

Dr. Ali is an active member within the Somali community, with emphasis on immigrant and refugee health and also serves as one of the founders and the current Executive Director of the Somali Health Board. Ahmed was born in Somalia, moved to the US in 1998 and currently lives in Kent with his wife and children. He also sits at various advocacy, policy and systems change tables, including the Accountable Communities of Health (HealthierHere) and the City of Seattle’s Sweetened Beverages Tax Advisory Board and believes healthcare is a universal right for all.
