Indonesian Church attacked

On Saturday morning, September 16, 50 people arrived at the Maranatha Chapel which serves as the meeting place for the GBI Cinere Christian congregation in Depok City, Indondesia, reports International Christian Concern. In this Muslim-majority country, the mob created a disturbance as many shouted and pushed against the fence of the church building.

In response, the church decided to conduct online worship services the next day.

Indonesia is the 33rd most dangerous country worldwide for Christians.

1 Corinthians 12:26 says, “If one part [of the body of Christ] suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.”

House did not shut down U.S. government

On Saturday, as the federal government faced an imminent shutdown, the House swiftly approved a 45-day funding bill to keep federal agencies open. Republican Speaker Kevin McCarthy dropped demands for steep spending cuts and relied on Democratic votes for passage to send the package to the Senate, reports NewsMax.com.

The new approach would leave behind aid to Ukraine, a White House priority opposed by a growing number of GOP lawmakers, but the plan would increase federal disaster assistance by $16 billion, meeting President Joe Biden’s full request.

The package was approved in a vote of 335-91, with most Republicans and almost all Democrats supporting. Check out a special link at www.TheWorldview.com for the list of the 21 Republicans who stood up to House Speaker McCarthy and the Democrats.

Court canceled Trump’s New York business licenses

On Tuesday, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron issued a 34-page ruling that would force former president Donald Trump to hand over control of his Empire State properties — including Trump Tower in Midtown — to an independent third party, otherwise known as a receiver, reports The New York Post.

The bombshell court ruling, finding Donald Trump liable for fraud, left even his own lawyers scratching their heads — asking the judge on Wednesday to clarify his decision canceling the former president’s New York business licenses.

The decision was issued in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ sprawling civil fraud case against Trump, his namesake real estate company, and executives including his children Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump — alleging that for years the ex-president exaggerated his assets to get an edge on loan and insurance terms.

Trump has already said he plans to appeal the ruling which is likely to stop the cancellation of the business certificates from taking effect immediately.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to run as an independent

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was challenging President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination, plans to announce he will run as an independent on October 9 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, reports Mediaite.

Kennedy’s campaign machine is now planning “attack ads” against the Democratic National Committee.

Unlike most Democrats today, Kennedy was willing to protect pre-born children after three months in gestation. Listen to his recent comments at the Iowa State Fair.

KENNEDY:  “I believe that a decision to abort a child should be up to the woman during the first three months of life.”

NBC REPORTER ALI VITALI: “So, you would cap it at 15 weeks?”

KENNEDY: “Three months.”

VITALI: “So, three months. You would sign a federal cap on that?”

KENNEDY: “Yes, I would. I think the states have a right to protect a child once the child becomes viable.”

Sadly, the Democrat elite took Kennedy to the woodshed for daring to support any pro-life protections.

In an August 13th tweet, his campaign claimed that “Mr. Kennedy misunderstood a question posed to him by a NBC reporter in a crowded, noisy exhibit hall at the Iowa State Fair. Mr. Kennedy’s position on abortion is that it is always the woman’s right to choose. He does not support legislation banning abortion.”

Senator Dianne Feinstein met her Maker

Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein of California met her Maker on September 28th at the age of 90.

The seat held by Feinstein will be temporarily filled by a person chosen by California Governor Gavin Newsom, a Democrat. Under the U.S. Constitution, states have the power to fill vacancies that arise in the Senate. Newsom has not said when he will make his choice. But that person’s term will expire January 2025.

The race for the seat includes three Democrats — U.S. Reps. Barbara Lee, Katie Porter, and Adam Schiff. Republicans running include attorney Eric Early and Dr. Sarah Sun Liew.

Democrats currently hold a majority in the Senate. With Feinstein, that majority was 51–49. Without her, it is 50–49.

Her efforts to impose stricter regulations on gun ownership stemmed in part from the 1978 assassinations of San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk, a self-professed homosexual. Feinstein became the city’s mayor after Moscone was killed.

And Senator Feinstein was a pro-death champion of abortion, earning an F from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.

That’s why, in 2021, she was upset with the passage of so many pro-life laws.

FEINSTEIN: “More than 20 states have enacted laws that ban abortion at 20 weeks. So far, in 2021, state lawmakers across the country have introduced 561 abortion restriction bills in state legislatures. 83 of those have been signed into law.”

She also expressed her fear that the U.S. Supreme Court might overturn Roe v. Wade, declaring it to be unconstitutional.

FEINSTEIN: “The Supreme Court agreed to hear a case about Mississippi’s restrictive abortion law. Many observers, including myself, are concerned that the Supreme Court could use this case to overturn or diminish the protections established in Roe.”

Thankfully, her fears were well founded.  With the additions of three Trump appointees – Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett, the Supreme Court did indeed overturn Roe. On June 24, 2022, the court sided with Thomas Dobbs, the Health Officer of the Mississippi Department of Health over the Jackson Women’s Abortion Mill. The court ruled that the Constitution does not confer a right to abortion.

The Dobbs ruling is in keeping with the sentiments of Almighty God, who said in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart.”

Target to close 9 stores

And finally, effective October 21, Target will shutter nine stores in four states, reports The Street.  The primary issue at those particular locations was a rise in theft and shoplifting.

In its annual report, the National Retail Federation trade group says “retail crime, violence, and theft continue to impact the retail industry at unprecedented levels.”
