700 Indian Hindus attacked Christians, leaving 2,500 homeless

Christians in India are still reeling from Christmas and New Year’s Day attacks by radical Hindu nationals.

Over the holidays, a mob of nearly 700 radicals attacked a Christian-populated area in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh.

The attacks left over 2,500 Christians homeless and many hospitalized. The Christians had to flee into the jungle to survive. Many still have not returned to their devastated villages.

A local Christian leader told International Christian Concern, “Christians are traumatized and constantly living under fear and intimidation. Their survival is looking very grim on the ground; they need prayers and a helping hand.”

According to Open Doors, India is the 11th worst nation in the world to be a Christian.

Turkish earthquake death toll rose to 7,800

The death toll from the massive earthquake in Turkey rose to over 7,800 people yesterday. At least 20,000 people have been injured.

The 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck near the border of Turkey and Syria on Monday. Over 16,000 teams are operating search and rescue missions.

One man, rescuing people from the rubble in Syria, appealed for help.

RESCUER: “It’s very difficult task for us. We need help. We need the international community to do something to help us, to support us. Northwest Syria now is a disaster area. We need help from everyone to save our people.”

Samaritan’s Purse deploys 52-bed emergency hospital to Turkey

Samaritan’s Purse, led by Evangelist Franklin Graham, plans to deploy a 52-bed Emergency Field Hospital to Turkey and at least 75 staff later this week to address the immediate medical needs of families impacted by the devastation.

The hospital will include two emergency operating rooms. They will also  airlift critically needed items into Turkey to help people on their road to recovery.

Patrick Reevell, an ABC News reporter, described the conditions.

REEVELL: “Of course, they’ve been struck by this enormous earthquake. I mean, we’re seeing towns where whole streets have collapsed, whole high rises with dozens of apartments in them, have just collapsed into the ground. We know that there are hundreds of people buried under that rubble.”

You can give a tax-deductible gift to Samaritan’s Purse to help fund their 52-bed Emergency Hospital through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com.

Update in Christians in Antioch

The Turkish Evangelical Alliance announced that local Christian ministries are also on the ground bringing aid.

A local reporter asked for prayer for suffering Christians in Antioch where one Christian couple died in the quake.

REPORTER: “We need your prayers. Only one Christian couple lost their lives. Many other people are living here and waiting for your prayers and your support.”

Acts 11:26 records this reference to Antioch. “So, for a whole year, Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.”

Church of England eager to stop referencing God as He and Him

Bishops with the Church of England announced they are launching a major “project on gendered language” this year.

The project could remove “non-gendered” terms when referring to God. Priests may be asked to stop using male pronouns like “He” or “Him” when talking about God. Most startling are potential plans to drop the phrase “our Father” from the Lord’s prayer.

The announcement comes ahead of a vote by the Church of England on blessing services for homosexual couples.

Deuteronomy 4:2 says, “You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you.”

British drop charges against Christian pro-lifer for silently praying

Praise God! Prosecutors in England recently dropped charges against the director of the March for Life UK.

Police arrested Isabel Vaughan-Spruce back in December. Her crime? She admitted she may have been silently praying outside an abortion mill.

Local authorities had instituted a censorship zone around abortion mills.

The pro-life activist said, “It can’t be right that I was arrested and made a criminal, only for praying in my head on a public street. So-called ‘buffer zone legislation’ will result in so many more people like me . . . being treated like criminals and even facing court.”

Pro-life church must pay a million dollars to Planned Parenthood

Meanwhile in the U.S., a pro-life church must pay Planned Parenthood nearly $1 million in fines!

The Church at Planned Parenthood was holding worship services outside an abortion mill in Washington state. County judge Timothy Fennessy ruled against the church, claiming the church was interfering with peoples’ access to healthcare.

Despite the court case, Pastor Ken Peters said they will be back outside the abortion mill in March. He said, “What we’re doing is taking church right to the gates of Hell knowing that we will win.”

Matthew 16:18 says, “On this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.”

Mandatory NY college classes on “diversity” and “social justice”

Starting this Fall, the State University of New York System will require students to take so-called Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice classes.

The system includes 64 colleges and universities in the state. Together, they account for over a third of New York’s post-secondary students.

Professor Nicholas Giordano is a faculty member of a State University of New York institution and a critic of social justice initiatives in education. He said, “it seems as if higher education no longer values questions, debate, and dissent. Only groupthink, obedience, and submission will be tolerated.”

Florida to end Critical Race Theory courses at public colleges

And finally, authorities in Florida are taking a different tack than New York in higher education.

Last Tuesday, Republican Governor Ron DeSantis announced a legislative proposal to end courses on so-called diversity, equity, inclusion, and critical race theory at public Florida universities.

DESANTIS: “We are also going to eliminate all [diversity, equity, inclusion] and [Critical Race Theory] bureaucracies in the state of Florida. No funding and that will wither on the vine. And I think that that’s very important because it really serves as an ideological filter, a political filter.”
