Previous Episode: An Overview of the Gospel that the Church Isn't Teaching
Jake talks about the difference between perfection and purity/innocence/sinlessness, and why it should matter to believers. The main takeaway -- that Jesus was made perfect through what he suffered (i.e. temptations), and so are we. We should not believe that anything is wrong with us when we are being tempted, but rather, that the temptation is the very opportunity to grow in faith and mature beyond it. Moreover, our hope is greater than just not sinning. It is to bear the FRUIT of righteousness, peace, and joy, where the same things no longer even tempt us.
