No Fun City - Ep.06 - Jeff & The Wild Hunt

In episode #006 of the No Fun City podcast Mahyar & Jeff discuss their interests in hunting. Jeff breaks down how he got into hunting and why he changed his perspective over the years about hunting.   A Bit About Jeff Chan... I grew up in a nature-loving family, exploring the woods and fishing in the ponds around my grandparents' farm, which is now protected by a conservation easement under the Ontario Farmland Trust. www.ontariofarmlandtrust.ca/programs/land-securement/protected-farms/hindmarsh-farm. Hunting is an extension of two addictions - archery and backcountry hiking. Bowhunting blends those and intensifies the experience by forcing you to immerse yourself in your surroundings and tune into every sight, sound, smell, and breeze. Plans are made according to wind direction and you have to be ready to improvise if it changes. The recurve and longbow add the challenge of having to stalk within 20m of animals that evolved to not give predators that opportunity.
