27 In this episode I talk about how you are one person but made up of three parts. Those parts are Spirit, Soul, and Body
The reference scripture is found in
1 Thessalonians 5:23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I talked about the Apostle Peter talking about putting off his body which he called his tent.
2 Peter 1:14
knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me.
Here is the cartoon picture I talked about
(you need to go to the website to see the picture)
John 6:55,56
For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
Many left Jesus after He said this
John 6:60
Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, "This is a hard saying; who can understand it?"
John 6:63
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life.
I mentioned two scriptures I'm going to talk about in the next episode but the first is 1 Peter 2:24 (I think I said 2 Peter in this episode)
who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed.
Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
