Episode 44 starts with an interview with Carolina Panthers Wide Receiver, Brandon Zylstra (1:59-34:19). Brandon is a native of Minnesota and started his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings so we were both thrilled to have him on the show! We talked about his journey to the pros including the Canadian Football League and some of the different rules they play with. We then get into his time with the Vikings, the professionalism that comes with the job and how he gels with the personnel of the Carolina Panthers. Finish with how enjoyable lake life is and even gave him some touchdown celebration suggestions. Thank you to Brandon and Priority Sports for everything and good luck in the 2021 season. After the interview it's time for Clearys Comments (34:24-57:00) where we banter about random things. Matt takes a moment to comment on his performance in episode 43 then tells a juicy story that includes hot mics and announcers. This prompts Jordan to discuss the movie 'Our Idiot Brother' and the politically volatile language used in the film. Idiocracy remained the theme as there is a struggle to explain a story involving a wild bear and cocaine as well as oversized t-shirts and rip away pants. Read the room. What would you do if you were a cop and how do cold showers equate to success? We don't know either. Finish with the Olympics of Irish Things (57:02-69:05) and we will warn you, it is open for interpretation. It is a fact that Dropkick Murphy's is blaring at every Irish Pub and Matt has a joke for everyone.
